Founded by Joshua Lightfoot, a Northern beer specialist whose love of great beer was shaped at The Hop Emporium, we are both a destination for serious beer lovers and an accessible space for curious drinkers looking to explore world class brewing culture in Manchester.
The line up rotates constantly: heritage pilsners, weisse beers, saisons, aged wild ales, lambics and small-batch independents from some of the most serious breweries in the world. Weihenstephan to Mount Saint Bernard Abbey. Fürstenberg to Kasteel. The most exciting UK independents alongside the breweries that have been doing this for centuries. Everything on the menu is here because we genuinely think it's exceptional.
Glassware and serving sizes change depending on the beer. Some things need a tasting measure, and some things need a full pour. We'll always point you in the right direction. And if you want to go further (into rare fermentations, boundary-pushing naturals, or the wine side of things through our friends at Vibeyard), we can take you there too.
